5 reasons to buy the 2017 Porsche 911
1. New-for-2017 turbocharged engines
There are multiple new additions to the Porsche 911 for 2017. The biggest one is that almost every version of the 911 is now turbocharged for this year, including the base trim. The only one left out of this is the new 911 R. The newly-turbocharged base engine is a 3.0L six-cylinder that now produces an impressive 370 hp.
2. Premium interior
The interior of the 2017 Porsche 911 is stunning and truly showcases Porsche's driver-focused design. It’s full of plush surfaces and sleek lines, with logical button placement and sophisticated (but easy-to-use) tech. The Porsche Communications Management (PCM) infotainment system has been revised for this year, too, making it even better than before. It now allows the type of swiping and pinching gestures you’d normally use on your smartphone, alongside finger-written numbers and letters for navigation functions.
3. New for 2017
As well as the new turbocharged engines and additional PCM features, there are even more additions to the Porsche 911 for 2017. Adaptive suspension dampers are now standard, the exterior has been revised slightly, and the Carrera S now has a rear-wheel steering option. Additionally, the upgraded infotainment system now enables Apple CarPlay® connectivity, which will please iPhone users.
4. Great features
The 2017 Porsche 911 is jam-packed with features, as you'd expect from a luxury sports car. As standard, you get automatic bi-xenon headlights with LED running lights, parking sensors in the front and back, heated mirrors, and partial leather upholstery and trim. In terms of infotainment, the seven-inch touchscreen enables access to voice controls, Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay connectivity, navigation, and so much more. It’s more than enough to keep the tech-savvy driver happy.
5. Balanced performance
The mpg for the 2017 Porsche 911 is very impressive, especially for a luxury sports car. The base Carrera trim with the 3.0L engine and PDK transmission achieves an EPA-estimated 25 combined mpg.
The higher the performance, the lower the mpg, but even the 3.8L Turbo S trim achieves an EPA-estimated 21 combined mpg.Shop with your budget in mind
