The 2023 BMW i4 isn't short on performance. New for 2023, the entry-level i4 eDrive35 has 281 hp from its single motor and posts a zero to 60 mph time of 5.8 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new). The i4 eDrive40 has 335 hp for slightly faster progress, but if you want true sports car pace, the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor M50 is the i4 for you. With 536 hp, it has a zero to 60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new).

2. Good electric range

The single-charge driving range of the 2023 BMW i4 will keep you from spending a lot of time at electric charging stations. On 18-inch wheels, the i4 eDrive40 can travel an EPA-estimated 301 miles on a full charge.

Even with its added performance, the i4 M50 with 19-inch wheels covers an EPA-estimated 271 miles when fully charged. Whether you're on the highway or doing the school run, the i4 has enough range for all your everyday driving scenarios.

3. Responsive sports sedan

If you like driving, you'll love the 2023 BMW i4. Even though it weighs 4,665 lbs in the eDrive40 specification, the i4 feels light on its tires, and it grips the road superbly.
