5 reasons to buy the 2021 BMW M550
1. Standard comfort
Your next highway drive will be much more comfortable in your 2021 BMW M550. Naturally, leather upholstery is standard, but you also get a leather-wrapped wheel, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-folding and heated mirrors, a power trunk lid, and automatic wipers. So, any M550 you choose will be impressive from a comfort perspective.
2. It's fast, too
Power in the 2021 M550 comes from an excellent V8 engine, not just any V8. This V8 is turbocharged for even more power. That adds up to 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is fantastic. The M550 can hit 60 mph in a blistering 3.6 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new). The highway merge just became a bit more entertaining.
3. The latest tech
A super sedan needs super technology to go along with it. Thankfully, you can take your world with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, but there's more tech to like on the 2021 M550. The 2021 model year has a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, plus a standard digital gauge cluster, navigation, and more.
4. Impressive handling
The BMW 5 Series is a great starting point for a great handling sports sedan, but BMW engineers went even further for the M550. Your sports seats will hold you in place during cornering and you can keep a grip on things with the M Sport steering wheel. The chassis is built for performance, too, with adaptive suspension and electronically controlled dampers. You'll also get aerodynamic bodywork and a rear spoiler.
5. More upgrades available
All that power and handling come standard, but BMW has a bit more in store for the 2021 M550. Search for the available Dynamic Handling package, and you're in for a treat. This optional package adds high-performance adaptive suspension, a trick active steering system, and active roll stabilization.
