The 2019 Cadillac CT6 is a full-size luxury sedan that is competitive with rivals like the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S Class thanks to a stylish design and plenty of high-tech features. It offers a budget-friendly alternative to other luxury standouts but doesn't deliver as comfortable a ride nor as many features.
Cadillac shuffled the engine options for 2019, making a four-cylinder attached to a 10-speed transmission the base power unit. A V6 is available on the base Luxury trim, while only the top-of-the-line Platinum trim offers a V8 under the hood. While the four-cylinder is more efficient than its predecessor, it's a bit weak on power, which hurts the CT6's drivability.
The interior of the CT6 is nicely trimmed and features comfortable front seats, though the back seat is not adjustable and less plush than on some rivals. Tech is where the CT6 shines. The infotainment system is an improvement on previous models and is good-looking and easy to use. Super Cruise, which allows for some hands-free driving, is an available feature, while Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard.

Interior: Plenty of room for both driver and passengers, including those in the back seat. The driver's seat is adjustable and it's easy to find a comfortable seating position. The interior is filled with high-quality materials and the CT6 is easy to get in and out of.
Tech: The center screen that runs the CT6's infotainment system is good-looking and easy to use. Available features like Super Cruise, which allows for some hands-free driving, and a camera-based rearview mirror are useful. USB ports to plug in your device are plentiful and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard.
Driving: The upgraded engines, whether it's the V6 or V8, are plenty powerful. Acceleration in a CT6 equipped with either engine is impressive, and the transmission is relatively smooth. Steering is light and pleasant in normal driving.
Ride Comfort: A stiff suspension makes for a bumpy, uncomfortable ride compared to the CT6's competition. Seat comfort is solid, but driver comfort leaves something to be desired.
