5 reasons to buy the 2017 Cadillac CT6
1. Plug-in hybrid
If you’re not a morning person, your commute can be silent and vibration-free, as the 2017 Cadillac CT6 has an optional plug-in hybrid powertrain with an EPA-estimated 31 miles of electric range when fully charged.
Glide to work on electric power, and on the drive home, the turbo 2.0L four-cylinder will power on for an EPA-estimated 62 MPGe combined. Even with the battery empty, the gas engine handles all your errands and more, with an EPA-estimated 26 MPG combined. It’s a performance powerhouse too, with a zero to 60 time of 5.2 seconds when new.2. Powerful V6 engines
The full-size CT6 can hustle when needed, especially with one of the optional V6 engine options under the hood. Standard on Premium Luxury and Platinum trim levels, the big 3.6L V6 has 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft. Zero to 60 takes 5.9 seconds when new. For even more speed, look for the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 with 404 hp and 400 lb-ft. It pairs with a standard 10-speed auto and AWD, hurrying from zero to 60 in just five seconds flat, when new. Even with all that performance, both engines are quiet and composed in normal driving.
3. Enjoy the drive
The 2017 CT6 is a driver’s car. While it’s great to be a passenger here, it’s even better to be behind the wheel. With precision steering and sporty suspension, the large sedan is comfortable hustling down highways or tackling twisty backroads. Optional all-wheel drive adds grip in corners as well as all-weather capability, enabling you to get home in slushy and snowy weather. Magnetic ride control, which is standard on top trim Platinum but available on lower trims, makes the CT6 float over bumps.
4. Driving on technology
The CT6 is a driver’s car thanks to a stiff chassis and impressive optional technology. Magnetic ride control adjusts the suspension in milliseconds, adapting to road conditions and isolating passengers from rough or broken pavement. Rear wheel steering allows you to turn on a dime at low speeds, and have high-speed stability when changing lanes. Multiple selectable drive modes adjust or enhance throttle, transmission, and suspension settings to match your driving style or maximize
5. Luxury and comfort
The huge available UltraView power sunroof has front and rear shades so everyone can get the amount of sunlight they prefer, while the available quad-zone automatic climate control lets everyone set their temp. Platinum trim has standard Enhanced Night Vision and a heads-up display, to ease nighttime driving. This trim is the only one with standard 20-way power heated/ventilated front seats, but lower trims have available 14-way power seats with adjustable lumbar support for customizable comfort.
