Used Dodge buying guide
About Dodge
Dodge is an American car brand that chases its origins way back to 1914. Over more than a century in business, Dodge has seen many changes. In 1984 Dodge introduced the Caravan, the world's first minivan, reshaping the school pickup line forever. After mergers with Chrysler and later German manufacturer Daimler (maker of Mercedes-Benz), Dodge is now owned by Stellantis, which owns other car brands, including Fiat. Ram, a former Dodge pickup truck model, is now a stand-alone make. Today Dodge produces three new models (the Hornet, Durango, and Charger), but more Dodge models are available used.

Dodge FAQs
The best used Dodge depends on your needs. If you're looking for performance, the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger will deliver the thrills you're after. The Dodge Durango provides a family-friendly SUV, while the Dodge Dart is a commuter-friendly sedan.
The Dodge Ram was produced until 2010. Now, Ram is a separate make and the Dodge Ram doesn't officially exist. For the standalone brand, any Ram truck from 2014-2025 could be a good option depending on your needs.
Dodge has discontinued all of its models except the Hornet, Durango, and Charger. Models including the Grand Caravan and Journey were discontinued after the 2020 model year.
Today Dodge produces three models new: the Hornet, Durango, and Charger. Older models — such as the Citadel, Challenger, and Dart — are often available used.
In 2009, Fiat split Dodge and Ram into two separate makes. Prior to that, the Dodge Ram was a popular pickup model that was first introduced in 1981. Today, Ram produces pickups and a cargo van but is considered a separate brand from Dodge.
