5 reasons to buy the 2013 Dodge Avenger
1. Available V6 Power
The 2013 Dodge Avenger is available in two engine configurations. The standard engine on the SE and SXT trims is a 2.4L four-cylinder at 173 hp. Stepping up to the performance-oriented R/T trim will yield you a more powerful 3.6L V6 at 283 hp, which is great if you're looking for something with a little more punch.
2. Sporty features
No matter which trim you select, the 2013 Avenger boasts a sleek and athletic design with plenty of sporty features inside and out. Even on the base trim, a rear spoiler and dual exhausts are optional. Meanwhile, the R/T trim comes standard with heated front sport seats, a sport-tuned suspension, an upgraded transmission, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
3. Decent trunk space
The trunk on the 2013 Avenger offers 13.4 cu-ft of dedicated storage space, which should be plenty of room for groceries and other everyday items. For added storage space, the 60/40 split rear seats can fold down easily—ideal if you need to accommodate longer items that may not otherwise fit in the trunk.
4. Competitive fuel economy
You can expect similar fuel economy, regardless of whether you pick the standard four-cylinder or the upgraded V6 engine. The 2013 Avenger base trim with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic transmission gets an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined. Meanwhile, the 2013 Avenger R/T trim with a 3.6L V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined.
5. Three trim options
The 2013 Dodge Avenger is offered in SE, SXT, and R/T trim configurations—an entry trim, midrange trim, and performance trim. Regardless of trim, every 2013 Avenger comes with full power accessories, a CD player, cruise control, and air conditioning. The Avenger SXT trim unlocks satellite radio, automatic climate control, and fog lights. And the R/T trim (V6 only) adds a 6.5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth® connectivity, heated front seats, and remote start.
