The smaller size of the 2021 Kia Rio lends it to some impeccable handling and easy maneuverability, even when making sharp turns and pulling into tighter parking spaces. This makes it a great vehicle for city driving, where space is limited and driving a larger vehicle may be cumbersome.
Despite its subcompact size, the 2021 Kia Rio offers a surprising amount of space not just for passengers, but for cargo and small items alike. Even with the rear row of seats completely intact, you'll enjoy a full 17.4 cu-ft of dedicated cargo storage space on the hatchback model. Meanwhile, folding down the rear row will yield you a whopping 32.8 cu-ft. Throughout the 2021 Kia Rio's cabin, you'll find plenty of small item storage, including a center console, upholders, door pockets, and more.
Offered in two trim configurations, even the base LX trim on the 2021 Rio is well appointed with standard tech features that include an eight-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. The S Technology Package includes features like push-button start, automatic climate control, a 4.2-inch driver information display, and a driver-assistance suite.
The 2021 Kia Rio is available in both sedan and hatchback body styles to suit your needs, so you can explore four-door or five-door models. Regardless of which body style you select, every 2021 Rio comes with the same 1.6L four-cylinder engine at 120 hp. It is worth noting, however, that the hatchback version is sold exclusively in the upgraded S trim; the base LX trim is only available on the sedan.
Every 2021 Rio comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which cuts down on vehicle weight when compared to a traditional automatic or manual transmission. CVTs also deliver smoother acceleration for a more comfortable ride.
