The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a compact SUV, produced in a single generation that started in 2015. The Discovery Sport offers an available third-row seat, which is unusual in a compact SUV. For 2026, the Discovery Sport is available only in the Landmark Edition trim, but prior years offered additional trim levels. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with full-time all-wheel drive. The standard Discovery Sport seats five in two rows, while the available third row adds two additional seats.

First generation Land Rover Discovery Sport
The Discovery Sport may be one of Land Rover's smallest SUVs, but it's no less capable than its larger siblings. The Discovery Sport's full-time all-wheel-drive system and strong turbocharged engine can tackle most off-road scenarios with ease while carrying you to a night on the town in style.
For most model years, Land Rover offered at least three trim levels. Generally speaking, they include a basic trim with basic luxury items, plus two levels of premium luxury appointments like larger wheels, leather upholstery, and a panoramic glass sunroof, among others. Several packages were also available to upgrade the Discovery Sport's infotainment, headlights, navigation, and so on.
In every case, the Discovery Sport's trail-riding capabilities are unchanged. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive are the same, featuring Land Rover's Terrain Response System that allows the Discovery Sport to handle most off-pavement situations.
