1. Large cabin adorned with creature comforts 

From the moment you step inside the 2016 Discovery Sport, you’ll love its roomy and well-equipped cabin - as will your friends and family too. There’s seating for five as standard, with 42 inches of front row legroom on offer, and 37.3 inches of second row legroom. Additionally, an extra third-row seat can be equipped to increase capacity to seven passengers. All occupants will love standard comfort features like dual-zone automatic climate control and partial leather upholstery.  

2. Generous trunk space 

As your crew get comfortable in the cabin, you’ll have plenty of space to load all of their luggage as well. Behind the rear seats is 32 cu-ft of cargo volume, plenty enough to handle loads like the weekly grocery shopping effortlessly. A power liftgate is standard on HSE trims to help make loading and unloading easier. Plus with the 60/40 split-folding rear seats, capacity can be increased to 66.9 cu-ft for transporting large items.  

3. Turbocharged engine is a great all-rounder 

For a nifty balance of fuel-sipping performance, the standard engine on the 2016 Discovery Sport is perfectly suited. Every 2016 Discovery Sport model packs a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood, producing 240 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Zipping around town and along the highway is a piece of cake, and all without many trips to the pumps either - it can also achieve an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined.

4. Wide array of available standard equipment 

You’ll love the tech and convenience equipment on offer across the 2016 Discovery Sport’s lengthy feature list. Standard kit on SE trims includes rear parking sensors, Bluetooth^® connectivity, an eight-inch touchscreen, and a ten-speaker sound system. HSE models add a panoramic sunroof and full leather upholstery, and can be had with the Climate Comfort package for heated seats front and rear, as well as the Driver Plus package with numerous driver convenience technologies. 

5. Impressive off-road capabilities 

For when you want to turn off the highway and hit the trail, the 2016 Discovery Sport boasts strong off-road ability for tackling rough terrain in pursuit of adventure.
