5 reasons to buy the 2016 Lincoln Navigator
1. Huge on space
The 2016 Lincoln Navigator’s massive full-size body gives it plenty of interior space to work with. When you slide inside this luxury SUV, you’ll find three rows of seating that can accommodate up to seven people. So, even with a large family, you’ll all ride in style. Unlike other three-row luxury SUVs, the 2016 Navigator’s three rows of seating are all functional for kids and adults. This is thanks to the 39.1 inches of second-row legroom and 37.7 inches of third-row legroom.
2. Hauls tons of cargo
When buying a full-size SUV, you expect cargo hauling to be one of its strongest points, and the 2016 Lincoln Navigator will satisfy your cargo-hauling needs. If you’ve got all three rows filled with passengers, the Navigator can still fit 18.1 cu-ft of cargo behind the rear seats. That’s enough room for a week’s worth of groceries or a kid’s sports equipment. When you fold the third row, you can stuff up to 54.4 cu-ft of cargo in the back. With no passengers, you can lower both rear rows and unlock 103.3 cu-ft of cargo space.
3. Towing is no sweat
The 2016 Lincoln Navigator’s 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine delivers 380 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, which makes it surprisingly quick for a large SUV at under six seconds to 60 mph. This engine mates with a six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel or optional four-wheel drive. Being quick isn’t the only thing this powertrain allows the Navigator to do well. It also helps it tow up to an estimated 9,000 pounds when properly equipped.
4. Super-soft ride
The 2016 Lincoln Navigator won’t tackle curvy back roads like a sports car, but its soft suspension will deliver a comfortable cruise on your daily commute. This soft suspension system helps the big-bodied SUV glide over even the roughest roads, making your drive as relaxing as possible. Want even more comfort? Bump up to the Reserve trim and get an advanced adaptive suspension. In addition to an amazing ride, the 2016 Navigator’s well-insulated cabin keeps road and wind noise to a minimum.
5. Loads of premium options
The 2016 Lincoln Navigator may not have all the premium standard features some of its rivals do, but it still has plenty to offer. Its standard equipment includes the updated and improved Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system, a 14-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing wipers, BluetoothⓇ connectivity, and HD radio. Want to feel all the luxury the Navigator has to offer? Check out some of its more upscale optional equipment, such as the power moonroof, rear-seat DVD system, perimeter alarm, illuminated entry with approach lamps, and adjustable pedals. You can upgrade the 2016 Navigator with its Reserve trim, which includes a hand-wrapped leather dash and a Ziricote wood interior.
