2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid review

1. Three feature-rich hybrid trim levels 

All three 2014 trim levels include features like cruise control, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, keyless entry, and Bluetooth® integration. The XLE trim level offers some added luxury in features like leather seating, a backup camera, and an anti-theft system. All three models share the same 2.5L, 200-hp four-cylinder engine with 118-hp electric motor.  

2. Interior and exterior options 

The 2014 Camry Hybrid color options are generally fairly subdued, aside from a spicy red metallic dubbed Barcelona, a woodsy Cypress Pearl, and a cool Clearwater blue. Interior fabrics and leather seating range from light gray to ivory. The XLE model offers available 17-inch alloy wheels, while the LE model is an inch smaller.  

3. An ideal sedan for families or carpooling 

With a hybrid sedan, you'll want to know about fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid LE gets an EPA-estimated 43 mpg city and 39 mpg highway, while the XLE trim level achieves 40 mpg city and 38 mpg highway.

4. Innovative driver assist options 

All 2014 Toyota Camry trim levels come standard with traction control, anti-lock brakes, smart stop technology, and brake assist. Features like a blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert are optional on the XLE trim lineup. Power assist speed-sensing steering came standard on these sedans for better handling. As was a rear-facing camera for better visibility when you are navigating into a parking space.
