5 reasons to buy the 2017 Toyota Tacoma
1. Hit the trails
No matter which 2017 Tacoma you go with, you'll have an impressive level of standard and off-road capability. Toyota's 4WDemand part-time 4WD system is available on every single trim level and is standard on the Tacoma TRD Pro. All 2017 Tacomas come with an impressive 9.4 inches of ground clearance, plus standard automatic limited-slip differential and hill start assist (automatic transmission only). So whether it is an out-of-the-way campsite or a remote fishing spot, the 2017 Tacoma is ready to roll.
2. Seriously, any trail
To say that the 2017 Tacoma has epic off-road performance is a bit of an understatement. Check out the TRD Off-Road for upgraded Bilstein® shocks to help smooth out the rough bits, plus traction control, a trick electronic locking rear differential, and Multi-terrain Select with Crawl Control, all as standard. The top-spec TRD Pro adds an upgraded TRD-tuned off-road suspension with 2.5-in. FOX® Internal Bypass shocks to ensure that you make it to your destination no matter how far it is off the pavement.
3. Cab and bed choices
Most 2017 Tacoma trim levels start with the regular Access Cab and also offer the optional Double Cab (standard on the Limited and TRD Pro), which expands rear legroom from 24.6 inches all the way up to 32.6 inches. That means more room for friends and family out on your big adventure. Plus, depending on your needs, you can opt for the 60.5-inch short bed, or the 73.7-inch long bed (Limited and TRD Pro are short-bed only) so you can max out that trip to the home improvement store or load up your favorite weekend toys. Speaking of weekend fun, with the 3.5L V6 and available Tow Package, the 2017 Tacoma can tow up to 6800 lbs when properly equipped.
4. Great colors
If you want to spice up your driveway a bit, the 2017 Tacoma comes in some really cool colors (nine total) like Blazing Blue Pearl, Inferno (bright orange), and Barcelona Red Metallic. None of those great options will end up lost in the parking lot, but there's more to love about the 2017 Tacoma. Not only are there a full seven 16-inch to 18-inch wheel styles to choose from, but the Tacoma also has seven interior upholstery options as well. From the base gray fabric all the way up to the black leather with red stitching in the TRD Pro, you'll find just the right 2017 Tacoma to match your individual personality.
5. Luxury and tech upgrades
The Tacoma is an off-road beast, but that doesn't mean it can't also be a civilized highway cruiser. Check out the Tacoma Limited for standard upgrades like chrome trim, leather-trimmed seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and even a power sliding rear window. On the tech side, you'll get a super cool (and standard) integrated GoPro® mount on the windshield so you can record and share your adventures. Check out the optional Entune® premium audio system, which also comes with an upgraded seven-inch touchscreen, as well as the available Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging to max out the tech.
