From the large front grille and sharp headlights to its swooping rooflines and hatchback-style rear end, it's a full-size sedan designed to stand out from the crowd. If you were concerned that such sporty performance meant sacrifices had to be made in terms of comfort and luxury, one look inside the vast cabin should be more than enough to put your mind at ease. With seating for up to five passengers, and plenty of legroom all around — 41.2 inches in the front seats and 40.2 inches in the rear seats — everyone has plenty of space to relax and make themselves comfortable. And that won't be difficult at all, thanks to features such as simulated leather upholstery, three-zone climate control, and heated front seats all included as standard.

As well as looking stylish, the 2023 Volkswagen Arteon's swooping liftback body shape has another ace up its sleeve — a spacious and easily accessible trunk. You get 27.2 cu-ft of cargo volume in the trunk, much more than you might expect from a full-size sedan like this, and more than enough for groceries, luggage, and other day-to-day items to fit with ease. Additionally, a hands-free power liftgate mechanism, which was previously an option on the upper trims, is now included as standard on 2023 models.

Speaking of standard features, the 2023 Volkswagen Arteon's feature list is packed across all three trim levels, with more features than ever included as standard on 2023 models. The base SE R-Line trim now includes an illuminated front grille lightbar and a power liftgate as standard, alongside tech features like an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, forward collision warning, and parking sensors. If you want to go all-in on luxury, pick the SEL Premium R-Line trim, which includes a massaging driver's seat, rear-seat climate control, heated seats front and rear, and a fully automated parking system.
