Generation Overview
The 2019 Dodge Charger proves that muscle car performance isn’t just limited to two doors. The full-size sedan is part of the seventh generation that was introduced back in 2011.
Configurations for the 2019 Dodge Charger include the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat. The SXT and GT are the two V6-powered trims of the bunch, with the latter featuring available AWD. The 292-hp 3.6L V6 offers impressive performance while helping the 2019 Dodge Charger return an EPA-estimated 23 combined MPG.1 The SXT gives you 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, push button start and Uconnect® 4 with a seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Choosing AWD on the SXT not only bumps the 3.6L V6’s output to an even 300 hp, but it also makes the Uconnect 4C system with 8.4-inch touchscreen display and available Wi-Fi a standard feature.2 The GT trim adds 20-inch wheels and a performance-tuned suspension.
If you’re looking for V8 power, you’ll find it starting with the R/T trim. You’ll get the same features as the GT trim, but with the inclusion of a 5.7L HEMI V8 rated at 370 hp. The R/T Scat Pack replaces that V8 with a more powerful 6.4L HEMI V8, this time rated at 485 hp. Another Scat Pack feature includes a limited-slip rear differential. Finally, is the SRT Hellcat trim with its supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 boasting an impressive 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The SRT Hellcat has plenty of other performance tricks up its sleeve, including an adaptive suspension damping system and a line lock feature for faster and more consistent launches from a standstill.
Inside, the 2019 Dodge Charger accommodates five adults with ease. The interior is all-business, but you’ll get easy-to-use controls and a huge range of cloth and leather seat trims to choose from. Some of the 2019 Dodge Charger’s available features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon® audio system with amplifier and high-intensity discharge headlights. The R/T and R/T Scat Pack trims were also made available with the Daytona Edition Group package, which added unique Daytona exterior decals and a host of other Daytona-inspired features.
