A 1.4L inline-four 16-valve turbocharged engine, a 2.0L inline-four Tigershark engine with dual overhead cams and a 2.4L inline-four Tigershark engine are all available and can be paired with six-speed manual or a range of six-speed automatic transmissions.

The Aero adds the option of the more fuel-efficient 1.4L inline-four engine, body-color crosshair grille and illuminated instrument panel surround, followed by the GT's power accessory delay, dual bright exhaust tips and heated power mirrors. At the top of the line, the Limited adds standard 2.4L Tigershark engine with six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, touring suspension and available remote start.3

Generation Overview

Filling Dodge's place in the compact sedan class, left vacant with the discontinuation of the Neon in 2005, the updated Dodge Dart was the revitalization of a 1960s and 1970s sedan by the same name that was available initially in full-size, midsize and finally compact sedans. Only produced in one generation, the vehicle was available from 2012 to 2016 model years, though the 2012 model year was only available in China. Making its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, it was available in three transmission options, twelve different interior color and fabric options, available interior ambient lighting and a seven-inch TFT display. In the 2014 model year, all trims above the SE level received standard UConnect Bluetooth®.3 With a number of different available trims, it’s possible to find one that is basic or sporty, depending on your driving preferences.

Great all around car

This car is the best size for me and my family. I love having this type of car. It's a sedan but with a little sport. It can drive comfortably but has some get-up-and-go when it needs to. Gas mileage is amazing and have had no issues.

  • Seat Comfort: Good setting and easy to adjust
  • Ride and Handling: Quiet and drives like a beauty
  • Cargo Space: The trunk is very large for the type of car!

  • Power: Would like more horsepower and acceleration
  • Technology and Entertainment: No upgraded navigation or back-up camera on my model
  • Dashboard: No good place to attach a phone mount

Solid, Efficient, and sporty

The Dodge dart has enough weight to it to the ride is smooth, and quiet when on the highway, the gas mileage is very satisfying, I drive over 1000 miles a week for work, and I still only spend a maximum of 40 dollars a week on transportation, also not to mention the design isn't ugly at all like some efficiency vehicles, the only downfall I can think of is the Bluetooth is hard to setup, and the horsepower is a little low, but that's about it.

  • Cabin Noise: Quiet ride.
  • Fuel Economy: Gets me to far places, with little stress in the wallet.
