Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.539 reviews) The Dodge dart has enough weight to it to the ride is smooth, and quiet when on the highway, the gas mileage is very satisfying, I drive over 1000 miles a week for work, and I still only spend a maximum of 40 dollars a week on transportation, also not to mention the design isn't ugly at all like some efficiency vehicles, the only downfall I can think of is the Bluetooth is hard to setup, and the horsepower is a little low, but that's about it.

About the 2016 Dodge Dart

Vehicle Summary

For a fun but economical drive for singles, couples and small families, the 2016 Dodge Dart delivers performance with a solid heritage. From the Aero's manual-transmission gas-sipping EPA estimate of 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway to the GT's 2.4L Tigershark® engine with six-speed PowerTech® automatic transmission's more aggressive 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, you'll discover solid performance and a great ride.1 But don't let the nod to vintage fastback styling make you think this is your granddaddy's Dart - it's full of amazingly tech-forward features, including up-to-date audio options, an available reconfigurable digital gauge cluster, available dual-zone automatic climate control with micron filter, available chrome accents, available 8.4-inch audio center with Uconnect® services and hands-free phone capability.2

1Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.

FAQ

Q: Is the 2016 Dodge Dart an all-wheel drive vehicle?

A: As with many compact sedans, the 2016 Dodge Dart is not available in all-wheel drive, but is only available in front-wheel drive, which provides a relatively fuel-efficient ride that is still fun to drive.

Q: What kind of engines are available for the 2016 Dodge Dart?

A: The 2016 Dodge Dart comes with three different available engines. A 1.4L inline-four 16-valve turbocharged engine, a 2.0L inline-four Tigershark engine with dual overhead cams and a 2.4L inline-four Tigershark engine are all available and can be paired with six-speed manual or a range of six-speed automatic transmissions.

Q: How many people can the 2016 Dodge Dart hold?

A: As with many compact sedans, the 2016 Dodge Dart is capable of holding up to five people. It features two front bucket seats and a 60/40 split folding rear bench seat to provide additional room for cargo in the pass-through trunk space.

Q: What's the difference in the trim levels for the 2016 Dodge Dart?

A: There are five different trim levels for the 2016 Dodge Dart, including the GT and Aero, which are sometimes classified separately as special editions. The remaining three trim levels are the SE, SXT and Limited. The base SE includes the 2.0L Tigershark engine with manual transmission, daytime running lamps and rear-window defroster, while the SXT steps up to the 2.4L Tigershark engine, LED racetrack-styled taillights and overhead console. The Aero adds the option of the more fuel-efficient 1.4L inline-four engine, body-color crosshair grille and illuminated instrument panel surround, followed by the GT's power accessory delay, dual bright exhaust tips and heated power mirrors. At the top of the line, the Limited adds standard 2.4L Tigershark engine with six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, touring suspension and available remote start.3

Generation Overview

Filling Dodge's place in the compact sedan class, left vacant with the discontinuation of the Neon in 2005, the updated Dodge Dart was the revitalization of a 1960s and 1970s sedan by the same name that was available initially in full-size, midsize and finally compact sedans. Only produced in one generation, the vehicle was available from 2012 to 2016 model years, though the 2012 model year was only available in China. Making its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, it was available in three transmission options, twelve different interior color and fabric options, available interior ambient lighting and a seven-inch TFT display. In the 2014 model year, all trims above the SE level received standard UConnect Bluetooth®.3 With a number of different available trims, it’s possible to find one that is basic or sporty, depending on your driving preferences.
