The 2023 Ford F-150 stands out for its roomy interior, smooth ride, and available technological features like a large screen. Performance is applauded, especially the V8 engine, though fuel economy issues arise when towing. Mixed reliability feedback highlights a need for better transmission handling, but overall satisfaction remains high.
I am averaging about 21 mpg. I can use the flex fuel however, I am happy using mid-grade at this time.
I have been amazed since day one with all the bells and whistles this truck has. I thought I was spoiled with my old Durango. Boy was I wrong on how much vehicles have changed.
This is extremely roomy and comfortable. I am amazed at how comfortable i am and also the people that ride with me. Even the passengers In the back say they have plenty of room including leg room.
I would prefer a six foot bed over a five. But I own a trailer, so that is not a big thing. Other than that, I do not have any cons. I really love this truck.
400 lb-ft out of the 2.7 Ecoboost with a mandatory 3.55 rear end means effortless acceleration, even out of a base engine.
The truck is averaging 20.4 MPG through total ownership.
If you don’t have enough room, you should have a basketball scholarship.
The ride is a bit jittery, and every bump shows on this truck that is only 5,000 pounds.
No mechanical problems so far, but the transmission is not as buttery smooth as its GM counterpart, even though it is the exact same unit. I owned a 2020 Chevy Silverado with the same 10 speed. The Ford has an occasional “thunk” and “chunk” gear changes. Going to change out the trans fluid early and make sure that it didn’t spend its early life towing too much.
No truck is cheap. Keep in mind if you buy this truck used, it is $15K cheaper than new: you have to be ready for depreciation.
