Generation Overview
The tenth-generation Honda Civic debuted back in late 2015 with a number of improvements, including dedicated manual controls to supplement the touchscreen display functions and a redesign of the instrument cluster. Instead of its original bi-level layout, the LX trim features a more conventional gauge layout while higher-tier trims receive a completely digitized version of the same instrument cluster. For 2019, the Civic proudly wears a refreshed front fascia and formerly optional driver-assistive features as part of the Honda Sensing® technology suite, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist.
Mainline trim levels for the 2019 Honda Civic include the base LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and top-tier Touring. There’s also the performance-oriented Si and Type R trims. The well-equipped LX trim comes with a host of standard features, including the full Honda Sensing suite, automatic climate control and a rearview camera. Noteworthy options throughout the entire range include leather-trimmed seats, LED headlights and the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with lane guidance and 3D building and terrain rendering.2
The 2019 Honda Civic gets its motivation from several sources. The base engine is a 2.0L inline-four rated at 158 hp and found on the LX and Sport trims with either a standard six-speed manual or optional CVT. The EX, EX-L and Touring trims benefit from a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four with 174 hp available and the CVT as the only transmission choice. The Si gains an enhanced version of the 1.5L turbo four-cylinder engine, this time rated at 205 hp, while the Type R goes all-out with a 2.0L turbocharged engine making an eye-watering 306 hp. Both performance variants are only available with a six-speed manual transmission.

Perfect car! Perfect dealership!
I had an awesome experience at Carmax! From the beginning to the end! I shopped for my new car online, applied for financing online, was approved, and finished the process at the dealership! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! The car is awesome!

I would not recommend at this time. The care I purchased had a lot of body work problems and blemishes that was covered up and the computer screen was broken

It's a Civic!
It's a civic. You really can't go wrong with one of these bad boys. There's a trim level and/or a configuration that suits everybody's needs. It's reliable, comfortable, safe, has good fuel economy, and it's stylish.
Pros
- Ride and Handling: The car is just fun to drive. It's got some git-up and is quite responsive.
- Technology and Entertainment: Plenty of safety features come standard and it's got Apple Carplay.
Cons
- Cargo Space: My only complaint is that the Civic coupes aren't hatchbacks. I think a hatch on the coupe would be more practical.
