About the 2014 Infiniti Q50

Vehicle Summary

For solid, luxury transportation, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 is a great option if you're looking for a compact sedan. Suitable for singles, couples and small families, the Q50 provides superior finishes and a range of features to make an enjoyable ride. A powerful V6 engine is available in both standard and hybrid versions, while available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive makes it easy to stick to the road, even when the weather outside is not so nice. It's available in Base and Premium trim levels, but there are enough options and packages to make it easy to find a 2014 Infiniti Q50 that meets your needs. It includes a wide range of standard features that you might expect on a more expensive vehicle, such as downshift rev matching, an adaptive shift control that learns and matches your style of driving, a range of drive modes, hill-start assist, Active Trace Control to enhance cornering, automatic LED headlights, door-handle touch selective unlocking, remote window control from the keyfob, auto-dimming mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Q: What are some outstanding features on the 2014 Infiniti Q50?

A: Available in only V6 engines, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 provides plenty of power in a compact sedan, giving you superior acceleration and performance that you'd expect in a much larger vehicle. A wide range of driver assist features include lane departure warnings, backup collision intervention, predictive forward collision warning and a blind spot intervention system. Infiniti's Studio on Wheels® includes Bose® system components and Voice Recognition for easy hands-free operation.

Q: What kind of fuel economy does the 2014 Infiniti Q50 have?

A: The 2014 has a range of available fuel-efficient options, depending on the exact model that you select. The rear-wheel drive hybrid Q50 receives the best overall fuel efficiency of the available models, with an EPA estimate of 29 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, while the non-hybrid all-wheel drive version receives an EPA estimate of 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.1, 2

Q: Does the 2014 Infiniti Q50 come in a hybrid version?

A: The 2014 Infiniti Q50 does come in a hybrid version, and unlike many manufacturers who only have a two-wheel drive hybrid, Infiniti offers an all-wheel drive version as well. In addition, unlike many hybrids that don't deliver as much power as their non-hybrid options, the Q50's hybrid system delivers a net of 360 hp compared to the regular V6's 328 hp.

Q: Is the 2014 Infiniti Q50 a comfortable vehicle to drive?

A: Though it doesn't come with as many bells, whistles and subscription-based emergency and concierge options as its competitors, the available all-wheel drive provides a solid grip on the road. It's a quiet ride, with plenty of interior room and a wide rear seat that helps prevent arguments by the kids. Dash-mounted touch screens have intuitive controls and plenty of options.

Generation Overview

Debuting at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, the Infiniti Q50 was introduced to provide competition against a range of luxury compact sedans, including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series and Audi A4. Replacing Infiniti's G-Series, it follows some of the lines created by the 2009 Infiniti Essence concept car as well as the 2011 Infiniti M. It featured an asymmetrical cabin layout, three-dimensional double-arch grille and fine interior finishes. Available in both standard and hybrid versions, it featured a 3.7L V6 engine and a 3.5L V6 hybrid engine, as well as being available in either rear-wheel drive or available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. It was created with a wide range of trim levels, allowing you to more precisely select the version that works best for your situation.
