2015 2-Door Jeep Wrangler Hardtop

2015 Jeep Wrangler S C - Wichita, KS 07/30/2017

It's nice to have a vehicle I actually enjoy. I'm getting 23 mpg with no changes to my driving style. There is much less wind and road noise inside the cabin than you might expect. The AC and heat start working quicker than on any other vehicle I've owned. Easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces.

Just what I needed!

2015 Jeep Wrangler Chris Blailock - Vail, CO 09/15/2015

It's everything a Jeep should be!

Love it! Fun, fun fun!

2015 Jeep Wrangler cynthia kirk - midlothian, VA 06/17/2016

Cause a Jeep is just fun! Fun to ride, drive, chill! Always wanted one and ,boy, do i wish I had done it sooner. Even driving to work is fun now.

2015 Jeep Wrangler Overview

The 2015 Jeep Wrangler is unique in that it offers off-road capabilities that just cannot be matched by its competitors, yet does not have the refinement of many other SUVs in its class. So it's a trade-off between the refined level of an SUV for everyday driving, or the joy of being able to head off road and really keep up with all the adventurous things you want to do. That has to be carefully considered, since one facet of the experience may or may not outweigh the other. With the Wrangler being a bit of an acquired taste for many drivers, choosing whether it is right for you could take a little time.

2015 Jeep Wrangler History

The Wrangler has always been a popular Jeep model with consumers who like something a little outside of the norm. People have driven them for years, both on and off road, so they could have adventures and enjoy all that the open road or open terrain has to offer. While the Wrangler has always been popular, there have been some changes made to it over the years. With the 2015 model, buyers can expect:

  • Eight speakers standard and an optional nine-speaker Alpine stereo system
  • A Torx tool kit so the doors and roof can be removed more easily
  • Changes to trim levels and packages - Rubicon, Sport, and Sahara main trim levels, with sub-trims including the Altitude

How It Drives

Driving the 2015 Jeep Wrangler is an experience. Most people enjoy this vehicle because of the off-road capabilities.

good for everyday driving, too. The 2015 Wrangler does have some concerns, though, and the most pressing one is the lack of aerodynamics. The shape of the Wrangler is very brick-like, and that does not lend itself well to good gas mileage or a high level of maneuverability on the roads. It can make the Jeep feel sluggish and unresponsive, even though the engine provides plenty of power for everyday driving needs.

Used 2015 Jeep Wrangler Value

Jeep vehicles tend to hold their value well, and the 2015 Jeep Wrangler is no exception to that rule. However, it is very hard to compare it to other vehicles based on value, because it is so different from other offerings. The Nissan Xterra is the only comparable vehicle, and it has a better overall feel on the road but less off-road capability. Another similar rival is the Toyota 4Runner, which is still relatively different from the Jeep Wrangler in many ways. The value is in the name brand for this Jeep, as opposed to standing out as being better than the competition.

Design & Performance

The design of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler has not changed significantly from previous years. It remains boxy, with the quintessential look that Jeep has maintained for a number of years. That look is a popular one for the Jeep brand, though, and one that keeps buyers coming back for more, year after year. With the 2015 Wrangler, drivers can expect:

  • A 3.6L V6 engine providing 285 hp
  • Standard four-wheel drive and high- and low-range gearing
  • An upgraded transfer case
  • A six-speed manual transmission and Hill Start Assist * A five-speed automatic with Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control is optional.

Powertrain & Engine

The standard engine in the 2015 Jeep Wrangler provides a zero-to-60 time of 6.9 seconds, and the Unlimited version offers an 8.8 time. A combined mpg of 18 with either the manual or automatic transmission provides Jeep owners with a reasonable level of gas mileage that is comparable to other, similar vehicles. One disappointment is the towing capacity, which is only 3,500 pounds for the Unlimited model and 2,000 pounds for the two-door Wrangler. Other vehicles in the same class have higher towing capacities, but if the Jeep is used for off-roading and everyday driving, that may not be a factor.

Body Style & Interior Comfort

The interior of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler is relatively stylish, but is based mostly on function instead of form. The gauges are clear and easy to understand, and the dashboard is a throwback to a simpler time while still providing all the needed information. The Wrangler also offers:

  • Touch screen navigation
  • Good cargo space with the four-door Unlimited model
  • A locking center console and glovebox
  • Both hardtop and soft top options
  • A basic look and feel that die-hard Jeep owners will love

Whether you have always loved Jeeps or feel it is time to have something different in your life, the 2015 Jeep Wrangler can help you enjoy the adventurous spirit inside. There are so many great benefits the Jeep provides for off-roaders, and people who want to enjoy the Jeep on the open road can do that, as well.
