Generation Overview

The 2015 Mazda3 marks the middle of the plucky compact car’s third generation. Like the Mazda6 and Mazda CX5 before it, the Mazda3 adopts the brand’s “KODO: Soul of Motion” design language, resulting in a very appealing vehicle that easily turns heads with little effort. Fortunately, the 2015 Mazda3 has the performance to back up its sleek looks, courtesy of the 2.0L and 2.5L SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engines. Producing 155 hp and 184 hp, respectively, these two engines eschew turbocharging in favor of other innovative technologies to produce their hp numbers.

The 2015 Mazda3’s trim levels consist of the sedan-only i SV, i Sport, i Touring, i Grand Touring, s Touring and s Grand Touring. The main difference between the i and s trims is the availability of the 2.5L engine on the latter. Some of the 2015 Mazda3’s more notable features include the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system, which uses a rotary control knob, known officially as Commander Control, to navigate through the system instead of using a touchscreen display.
