These two cars are iconic, and appeal to the driver who wants to feel his/her car stick to the road as it goes through curves and bends with the wind in your hair. It may not be the fastest on the road, but it's one of the coolest looking cars that the average person can buy. And it turns a few heads too.

I truly loved my BMW, but have always wanted wanted a convertible. I must say that this particular vehicle is gorgeous. It has definitely lived up to everything I thought a convertible would be. However, in comparison to the flagship BMW, it is somewhat lacking in terms of the bells and whistle which seem somewhat rudimentary by comparison. If you are looking for a sports car, but do not want to sacrifice luxury and class, this is the car for you. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny for repairs, but who buys a high-end Mercedes for affordability. This car will surely turn head wherever the road takes you.

Mercedes-Benz SL550 Trim Configurations

Since the sixth generation of SL-Class roadsters debuted in 2013, the SL550 trim has been offered with a turbocharged V8 engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. For the 2013 and 2014 model years, a turbocharged 4.6L V8 cranks out 429 hp, though the engine size jumps to a 4.7L for all subsequent model years. I believe I got a reasonably good deal on this really cool car from Car Max.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes the classic style of the SL--which Benz has stuck with for a long time, just like Porsche has stuck with the same basic style for the 911, which I had also been considering.
