Mercedes-Benz SL550 Trim Configurations

Since the sixth generation of SL-Class roadsters debuted in 2013, the SL550 trim has been offered with a turbocharged V8 engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. For the 2013 and 2014 model years, a turbocharged 4.6L V8 cranks out 429 hp, though the engine size jumps to a 4.7L for all subsequent model years. By 2017, hp output for the SL550's turbocharged 4.7L V8 engine also increases to a full 449 hp.

Up until 2015, when the SL450 trim was introduced, the SL550 was the base trim offering on the SL-Class. Beginning with the 2015 model year, however, the SL550 is the second-tier of four total trim configurations available. It offers the following standard features on its 2018 model:

  • AMG-branded 19-inch wheels
  • Automated parking system
  • Ventilated seats with massage functions
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Keyless entry and ignition
