About the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250
Like most subcompact SUVs, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 combines some characteristics that are typical of a full-size SUV with others that are usually associated with a sedan or a hatchback. Specifically, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 has the elevated ride height, the available all-wheel drive, the rugged exterior, and the high cargo capacity (17.2 cubic feet in the 2019 GLA 250) that are found on pretty much all SUVs. On the other hand, it has a more compact shape than a full-size SUV and feels like a traditional car when it comes to driving around town. Thanks to the fact that it's not quite as large as a traditional SUV, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 is designed to navigate tight parking spots and congested urban traffic.
With these qualities in mind, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 is a very good fit if you need a versatile vehicle that is compact enough to navigate crowded city streets while also having the room enough to fit a family with children for long trips out of town—as well as the ability for the occasional off-road adventure.

Reviews for Mercedes-Benz GLA250
Great Price and Efficient Small SUV
I like Mercedes Benz vehicles. This particular car is efficient and still provides a level of comfort and style. People stop to look at it and I've received several compliments on the styling. On a recent road trip, I got more than 35 mpg! The ride is a bit rougher than my previous MB C 300 Sport, however, I expected that in an SUV and also with the run-flat-tires. I managed to find a GLA 250 with the features I desired, it's been a lot of fun to drive.
- Fuel Economy: Received over 35 mpg on hwy; average 25 city
- Styling: Great looking vehicle
- Value: Efficient
- Ride and Handling: Rougher ride than prior Mercedes
- Visibility: Blind spot, thank goodness for rear view camera feature
Check tires n alignment n in writing
I bought the car n didn't check tires, after month I notice that my tires are not all the same brand n tread and alignment was not done correctly.
- Cabin Noise: don't hear outside noise
- Technology and Entertainment:
Not typical of Mercedes
I wouldn’t recommend buying this car used. In as little as 2 mos the car needed major engine repair. I’m talking engine head/#2 piston replacement and timing chain repair. Thank goodness the factory warranty was in place! The MERCEDES dealership took care of everything like they always do but I wouldn’t expect these types of problems in the 2nd month of purchase. Carmax did the checks pre purchase and obviously missed some major faults! Or glossed over them. I like this car very much but don’t recommend it’s purchase with high mileage or without a warranty.
- Fuel Economy: Good on gas. That’s important when running on premium!
- Reliability: Major engine repair before 30k miles
- Cost to Maintain: Better have a warranty! Enough said
