Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) This 2006 Mercedes Benz SLK350 is almost perfect, perfect would only be the big brother, the SL550. This is our second SLK, first one was on 02 SLK320, thought that car was great, this one's even better. Also had an 03 SL500, next one will be the SL550, ah, the perfect car. You can't really get any better. If you looking for off the line racing, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for the most solid driving experience, with outstanding endurance and top speed and a vehicle that knows the road, well look no further. Didn't buy this for glitz, glamor and all the nonsense, you buy these for true driving. So, if you want the best driving vehciles made, go with the SLK, or if you can afford, go for the bigger brother, the SL. You'll be glad you did, I know I am.

glad we bought it

We bought this from carmax 2 years ago and have put about 30k miles on it, we love it. with the top down its at its best. it has enough trunk space, and enough power, it looks great also. reliability has been ok, we've had a few problems, but i bought the extended warranty and it's come in handy with the repair bills. It does ride stiff, but it should so it can corner. It does eat back tires due to the camber but that helps the cornering also, so the tradeoff is fine with me. I got the model with the airscarf, it blows hot air on the back of your neck from the headrest, so topdown in cold weather is no problem, and with the seat heater on and u can drive anytime.

Fun for 2

Very happy with my 2005 SLK350. The 3.5L V6 w/Sport Package has excellent handling characteristics. Body roll is minimal. Acceleration is very good, but your not the fastest car from 0-60 mph. The engine sounds great. It has a broad, flat torque curve. You have power in any gear. You want the Air Scarf. Trunk space is good, even with the top down, though you need to raise the top to insert/remove larger items. The manual shifter is good. Later model SLK350s up the power on the 3.5L V6, but it's only available in an automatic. Lower numbered SLKs offer a manual, but the engine is a 3.0L V6.

Best purchase ever

This car is definitely a head turner. It's so much fun to drive, as well as great on gas!
