Weak battery for a big car

21 mpg at present, which is terrible.
Reliability
We've had the forester less than four months, and have had to jump it twice and then outright replace the battery, which showed signs of trouble from the time of purchase. Installed battery was also too small for the car. The car's auto-stop/start feature also caused it to stall out at a stop light, which was extremely dangerous. We've had it off by default, which has of course been terrible for the car's mpg. A cheap trick to reach fleet standards rather than genuine commitment to fuel economy is disappointing.
Technology and Entertainment
Creepy starlink feature tracks your location, and siphons battery power. It also can't be switched off within the car. It's the first thing to switch on when the engine starts and likely contributed to the stalling.

Very little maintenance; just change the oil and it keeps going and going!
