Generation Overview

Revealed at the 2012 Guangzhou Motor Show, the fourth generation of the Subaru Forester had numerous changes from the prior generation. An automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) was added to the lineup while the suspension was adjusted for a more athletic ride with sport-tuned suspension and chassis bracing for the turbocharged engine trims. These changes led to slightly enhanced fuel efficiency, despite longer overall dimensions including 0.6-inch width, 1.4-inch length and 1.0-inch wheelbase increases. Higher-end models with the CVT transmission received an optional X-Mode, which coordinates engine and transmission outputs, as well as receiving Subaru's EyeSight driver assist suite of features.

The car was great for a month and then it’s had nothing but problems. I bought this as an upgrade but now I am worried it’s not going to last.
