The Audi A8 is large, luxurious, and loaded with tech and comfort features
The 2023 Audi A8 is the brand’s flagship full-size luxury sedan. Updates for the 2023 model include matrix-design LED headlights (advanced lighting that features animated headlamps and tiny individual beams of light for greater clarity), and models with the Executive package now include an automated remote parking assistance system. The A8 is equipped with a turbocharged 335-horsepower V6 that works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive.
The A8's handling is sharp, and it is easy to maneuver given its size. The ride quality can be a mixed bag, however. At times it can feel too pillowy. And at other times, when traversing sharper bumps in the road, it can feel overly stiff. From a cabin quality and design perspective, the A8's interior is excellent, and outward visibility is also commendable. Just be patient with the dual-screen infotainment system—it's packed with features but has a steep learning curve.

What We Like
Driving manners and economy: The 335-hp turbocharged V6 gets the large A8 up to speed without any fuss or bother. Fuel economy is an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined[1] , which is reasonable for a car this size. Agile handling also makes the A8 easy to squeeze through traffic without breaking a sweat.
Tech features: The good news is that the A8 is a tech lover’s dream. From its crystal-clear digital instrument cluster to its dual-screen infotainment system, the cabin has more touchscreen surfaces than an Apple store. Smartphone connectivity, wireless device charging, and 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo are standard.
Cabin quality: Audi once again has turned out a cabin that looks like it might have been borrowed from a private jet. All major controls are smartly placed, and the materials used are befitting a vehicle with the A8’s price tag.
What Needs Improvement
Overly complex infotainment controls: The standard and available tech features are nice, but it’s a shame how unintuitive the infotainment system is to use. The dual-screen arrangement takes lots of patience and practice to master.
