Versatile luxury

This classy compact SUV is part of the second Q5 generation, which was introduced in 2018. It’s a great option if you live in the suburbs but want something versatile that’s just as happy rolling down country roads as it is navigating city traffic. Lane-keeping assist and a heated steering wheel are newly standard for 2024, adding to the already extensive base feature list.

5 reasons to buy the 2024 Audi Q5

1. Available plug-in hybrid powertrain 

There are a range of powertrains available for the 2024 Q5, including 201- and 261-hp 2.0L options. If a little bit of electric power is more your style, take a look at the Q4’s plug-in hybrid option, which gives you an all-electric range of 23 miles on a full charge.

That gives it an EPA-estimated 61 MPGe combined, making it a practical option if you want to minimize how much time you spend at the pumps.

2. Comfortable ride 

This SUV is a great companion for long drives thanks to its comfortable ride. Bumps are smoothed out by the suspension without sacrificing handling and the seats are comfortable for long stints on the highway. Add to this a high driving position with great outward visibility and you’ve got a comfortable daily driver for both short and long trips. 

3. Luxurious interior 

As you might expect from Audi, you'll get a luxurious interior that’s full of little touches that elevate the driving experience. The base trim, Premium, features a power liftgate, leather seats, and a heated steering wheel. If you want to take things further, look out for the Bang & Olufsen® sound system (Premium Plus trim) and acoustic insulated front windows (Prestige trim) to minimize road noise. 

4. High-tech feature list 

If you want a vehicle full of technology, the 2024 Q4 could be a great option. You’ll get standard tech features including wireless Apple CarPlay® connectivity, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. If that’s not enough, look for models with the Convenience package to get power-folding mirrors and keyless entry. If you’d prefer a surround-view camera system to make easy work of parking maneuvers, look out for Premium Plus models. 

5. Practical utility 

The Q4 is a great choice if you’re looking for practical utility. With the 2.0L mild hybrid engine, it can tow an estimated 4,400 lbs when properly equipped.

That’s enough for a horse trailer or a camper. You also get plenty of space inside with 25.9 cu-ft of cargo room, which opens up to 54.1 cu-ft with all the seats folded.
