Quick, fun, and luxurious 2020 Audi S5 is available in hatchback, coupe, and convertible
The Audi S5 is the midrange performance model in the A5 lineup that includes coupe, convertible (Cabriolet), and four-door hatchback (Sportback) models. Where the standard A5 uses a turbocharged four-cylinder and the RS 5 boasts a 444-hp turbo V6, the S5 squeezes between the two with its 349-horsepower turbocharged V6, sport-tuned suspension, and standard all-wheel drive. Quick and sure-footed, the S5 impresses with its high degree of civility and driving refinement.
On a similar note, the stylish interior of the S5 is a great place to spend your time. Leather seating is standard and the front seats offer exceptional support. The design and layout of the dashboard are first-rate, the materials used throughout the cabin are finely finished, and every control feels like it belongs in this premium vehicle. The same is true for the user-friendly infotainment system, which is operated using a 10.1-inch touchscreen. A functional and futuristic 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display takes the S5’s tech content a step higher and is included with the Premium Plus trim.

What We Like
Standard all-wheel drive: Having Audi’s all-wheel drive standard on every S5 makes this German sports machine much more than a fair-weather friend. This added layer of grip helps power the S5 through weather conditions that would leave many rivals spinning their wheels.
Trunk volume: If you like the style and power of the S5 but simply need more room inside, then consider the Sportback. There’s more than 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind the split-folding rear seatback.
Infotainment: While it’s not the newest infotainment system in Audi’s tech arsenal, the unit in the S5 is simple to use and easy to scroll through while on the move.
What Needs Improvement
Limited trunk volume and rear legroom in coupe and convertible: Chances are good that if you’re considering the S5 coupe or convertible, style and performance take priority over acres of second-row space and a cavernous trunk. That’s a good thing because the coupe and especially the convertible don’t offer up much in the way of rear seat or trunk space.
