It’s all fresh and new for the 2018 Audi S5 coupe, convertible (Cabriolet), and four-door hatchback (Sportback). A complete redesign brings along a 345-horsepower turbocharged V6, updated exterior styling, and a cabin that’s one of the best in the business when it comes to overall quality and refinement. The newly introduced S5 Sportback provides a larger trunk and roomier rear seat than its two-door siblings. All three S5 variants are available in two trims: Premium Plus and Prestige.
The S5’s turbo V6 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that clicks through gears seamlessly, routing power to standard all-wheel drive. The interior is a visual and tactile treat thanks to standard leather seating and an easy-to-use infotainment system. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard and comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, voice commands, and two USB outlets. A larger 8.3-inch screen is fitted when the optional in-car navigation is ordered. Another tempting tech upgrade is the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit, a highly customizable digital gauge display positioned directly in front of the driver.

Performance: Acceleration is there whenever you need it, courtesy of the turbocharged V6 nestled in the engine bay. All-wheel drive gets power to the road seamlessly, and it also gives the S5 a great degree of control and stability in all sorts of driving conditions.
Interior: Audi didn’t skimp when it came time to crafting a world-class cabin for the 2018 S5 lineup. Everything looks and feels like it’s built to last, the seats are supportive, and the infotainment system is super simple to use.
Practicality: The S5 Sportback takes the regular S5 recipe and adds a hefty dose of practicality. It has a more adult-friendly second row, not to mention a trunk that measures in at 21.8 cubic feet in capacity.
Snug rear seat on coupe and convertible: Opting for the coupe or convertible means trading some rear passenger space for the added style and drop-top enjoyment these models provide. If you need a more usable second row and bigger trunk, consider the Sportback.
