2022 Cadillac CT4-V review

1. Bold design 

Contemporary curb appeal meets handsome classic design proportions in the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V. With perfect proportions and taut sheet metal, it’s a classy design from any angle. The large waterfall LED headlights and tail lights are uniquely Cadillac looks with effective light delivery. Other exterior details include a larger blacked-out grille, standard 18-inch wheels, quad exhaust tips, and a rear spoiler. It’s a look that matches what the CT4-V can do.  

2. Power to spare 

The CT4-V is ready for a track day, or maybe just blasting a highway on-ramp. Standard under the hood is a turbocharged 2.7L inline four-cylinder with 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard for a sports car feel, with optional all-wheel drive for increased performance and all-weather capability. The CT4-V engine connects to a 10-speed auto or six-speed manual transmission. Zero to 60 passes in as little as 4.8 seconds, when new.  

3. Race-ready handling 

Every drive becomes entertaining when you have steering feedback and nimble handling like this. The CT4-V has an upgraded suspension to stay flat through corners, with standard magnetic ride control in RWD models. AWD models receive non-electronic, but still upgraded, suspension dampers. Selecting the Sport or Track drive mode stiffens suspension settings and tells the automatic to allow higher and faster shifts.  

4. Heavy on tech 

A standard eight-inch touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, plus an available WiFi hotspot.

The driver gets a 12-inch driver information screen with a configurable display. The Cadillac SMART system is standard, a suite of 10 driver assistance features spanning automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection to rear parking assist. Super Cruise hands-free driving technology available on Premium Luxury and Sport trims.  

5. Comfort for days 

Even this high-end sport sedan trim doesn’t beat up occupants over rough roads and potholes. Impeccable suspension tuning lets the CT4-V grip roads without crashing over bumps. Cracks and road imperfections are absorbed with aplomb and standard active noise cancelation keeps the highway drone hushed below hearing range.
