Elegant, luxurious, electrifying.
For instant torque and indulgent luxury, Jaguar's deluxe electric SUV, the I-Pace, is close to perfection if you're shopping for a performance SUV with green-lifestyle credentials. The 2020 I-Pace is innovative, stylish, and designed to raise your game oh-so-subtly. Available in S, SE, and HSE configurations, standard (yet luxurious) features are plentiful at the base S trim level. Expect simulated leather sports seats up front, dual touchscreens packed with tech, and instant torque that will take you from zero to sixty in under five seconds, when new. A panoramic dual-pane glass roof bathes the interior with natural light. Privacy glass assures discretion, while smartphone connectivity keeps loved ones close. Dare to dial it up? The SE trim has leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, and an easy-access power liftgate. The range-topping HSE brings even more comfort and excellence to the fore; heated rear seats and a surround-sound audio system will make cold winter days feel like a cozy symphony hall. The all-electric powertrain is a cinch to charge. Plug in at home overnight and it's back to a full charge and an EPA-estimated 234 miles of range. Range figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new and assume a full battery charge. Range will vary based on things like battery age, vehicle condition and history, driving and charging habits, accessory use, and driving conditions. Battery capacity may decrease with time and use. Stop off at a public charger with rapid charge functionality and you could be back on the road after a comfort break and coffee. Easy to use and utterly elegant, this all-electric SUV is hard to ignore.

5 reasons to buy the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace
1. A cabin flooded with light

All 2020 I-Pace models have a dual-pane panoramic glass roof, flooding the cabin with natural light during the day, and city vistas or deep starry skies at night. Passenger enjoyment is balanced by some well-thought-out technology. The tinted glass roof has infrared absorbing lamination, preventing UV light and intense heat from entering the cabin.
2. The dual-screen infotainment system

Easy to navigate and dynamic to the touch, the 2020 I-Pace is equipped with dual touchscreens vertically stacked on the front dash. Configuring the startup menus to your own specifications takes just a handful of touchscreen swipes. Integrating your handheld devices is just as intuitive; the I-Pace has Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ functionality as standard. Sitting mid-dash, the 10-inch touchscreen and its five-inch touchscreen below unlock navigation, connectivity, entertainment, comfort controls, and more.
3. High-quality material finishing

Jaguar seems to specialize in exquisite interiors, and the 2020 I-Pace continues that legacy as a re-imagined classic Jaguar with detailed craftsmanship. Standard sports seats are finished in no less than four options, including grained and Windsor premium leather. These soft furnishings are finished with twin-needle stitching. Morzine or suede cloth headline fabrics are subtle and soft to the touch, while accent finishes add a more robust juxtaposition—available in Ash, aluminum, or gloss black. A subtle sensory experience awaits.
4. A performance-inspired powertrain

The I-Pace is Jaguar's first all-electric vehicle, and it takes its powertrain cues from its Formula racing cars. The I-Pace has two compact and lightweight synchronous permanent magnet electric motors, a system inspired by the I-Type Formula E racing car. With battery and motors positioned as low as possible, the I-Pace gains a low center of gravity that enhances handling and overall vehicle control. Yes, you can have it all with an electric SUV—the 2020 I-Pace is, first and foremost, a performance vehicle.
5. The cool exterior design

For strength and subtlety in one awesome package, the I-Pace comes through. The sharp aerodynamic exterior lines and curved roof lines add a sleek appearance to your on-the-move activities. Door handles sit flush to the doors, with a simple touch to deploy them. Slimline LED head and tail lights appear almost menacing at night, while the softer-shaped grille can be optioned with an illuminated Jaguar badge. When style matters, the I-Pace delivers.

Interior details
The Jaguar I-Pace is a luxuriously-appointed five-seat SUV available in three trim levels. The base S trim features synthetic leather upholstery, with the mid-trim SE gaining grained leather seating, and the HSE trim finished in Windsor premium leather. Spacious seating ensures comfort is immediate; front-row passengers have 40.9 inches of legroom, and the rear-row seats have 35.0 inches. Sports seats are standard, with an available option of a more contoured performance seating.
Cabin ambiance is central to the I-Pace experience. A panoramic glass roof connects passengers with surrounding skies, mountains, or skyscrapers. Ambient lighting creates unique and evocative moods. Surfaces are finished in exquisite material finishes. You can choose from glossy black and ash veneer to monogrammed aluminum, or aluminum and carbon fiber weave.
Cargo and cabin storage has been well thought through. Behind the second row is 25.3 cu-ft of fixed cargo storage, which can then expand to 51.0 cu-ft behind the first row when the back seats are folded. Small cabin items can be stored in the center console bin, the front row's lockable glove box, or under the second-row seating. A fun storage bonus is the 0.95 cu-ft front trunk.
Child seat details
The 2020 I-Pace is suitable for young passengers. It has two sets of LATCH connectors (two lower anchors and an upper tether) in the second-row outboard seats and an additional upper tether for its middle seat. The anchor points are easy to spot and the fitting of seats is made comfortable for parents and guardians thanks to a wide door pitch and roomy ceiling height. All seat types are accommodated, and depending on the models you wish to use, up to three can be fitted in the rear row. The fixed panoramic roof is tinted, to prevent strong sunlight, UV rays, and excessive heat.
Performance
All 2020 Jaguar I-Pace models are powered by dual electric motors and a 90-kWh battery for a combined 394 hp and up to 512 lb-ft of instant torque, even from a standing start. A single-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are both standard across all trims. According to the manufacturer, the 2020 I-Pace has a maximum speed of 124 mph and an exhilarating zero-to-60 time of just 4.5 seconds (when new).
When fully charged, the I-Pace has an EPA-estimated 234 miles of total range.
Take your I-Pace for a spin around town and you'll achieve an EPA-estimated 80 MPGe, while highway commuting garners an EPA-estimated 72 MPGe.Charging your I-Pace is fairly straightforward. Your charge port is found next to the front wheel arch on the driver's side. A timed charging feature allows you to set specific charging times, should you wish to prioritize off-peak electricity rates or renewable energy at home. Using the home charging cable and a domestic wall socket should take your vehicle battery back to a full charge overnight. There's also the option to have a wall box charger installed for faster charging times.
Away from home, the I-Pace is equipped to use public charging stations and can accept up to a 100-kW DC charge rate. What do these public charging rates mean for your daily schedule? Charge at the gym or mall, and a typical 50-kW DC rapid charger can provide up to 80% charge in less than 90 minutes. If you're on the move and tight on time, a 100-kW rapid charger could add up to 63 miles in just 15 minutes.
Year comparisons
2019-Present Jaguar I-Pace (First Generation)
Debuting in 2019, the all-electric five-seat Jaguar I-Pace is a high-spec SUV, available in four trims. Aside from retiring the debut year's First Edition trim, there are no changes for the 2020 models.
Following a missed year in 2021, the 2022 I-Pace sees the S and SE trims discontinued, its infotainment features gain some minor improvements, and battery charging time is reduced due to a power upgrade for the onboard charger. The 2023 I-Pace is expected to have just a few minor changes to its standard and optional feature line-up.
