5 reasons to buy the 2019 Toyota Camry
1. Available hybrid
Finally, a hybrid that doesn't look like a hybrid. The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid features a 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine using gasoline, paired with an AC motor using battery power. The result is 208 hp and some genuine driving fun from the continuously variable transmission, which has a sport-shifting mode with simulated gears. It's not just fun and games, though—the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE gets an EPA-estimated 52 mpg combined.
2. Extra roomy for passengers
The 2019 Toyota Camry is technically a midsize sedan, but take a seat in the front or back and you'll swear it's larger. There's 38.3 inches of headroom up front and 38 inches for rear-seat passengers. That means that even your 6'5" friends can comfortably fit in the 2019 Camry. Plus, there's a 15.1 cu-ft trunk—equivalent to a compact crossover's cargo room or a large chest-style deep freezer.
3. Powerful available V6
The 2019 Toyota Camry's base 2.5L four-cylinder engine is excellent, but if you need an engine that matches the aggressive exterior, the Camry has you covered with a potent 3.5L V6. With 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, the V6 will launch you up on ramps and traverse mountain highways with ease. From a stop, look for a zero-to-60 time of just six seconds flat, when new.
4. Standard driver aids
Think of this sedan as your co-pilot that never takes a break. Standard driver-assistance features on all 2019 Toyota Camry trims make even the longest road trips a breeze. The forward-collision warning sounds a tone if the vehicle detects an object ahead, while lane-keep assist watches the road to help you stay in your lane. In addition, adaptive cruise control is a great system for highway cruising. Just set the speed and the car will match it, while also adapting perfectly to the flow of surrounding traffic.
5. Loaded with tech
The 2019 Toyota Camry is a great place to spend time. Even the base LE trim has a seven-inch touchscreen with an Entune™ audio system and steering wheel controls, paddle shifters, selectable drive modes, and automatic climate control. You'll love the standard heated front seats on cold days, as well as the power driver's seat. Options for the LE trim include a power sunroof, blind-spot monitoring, and keyless entry. If you're an audiophile, you'll appreciate the standard Apple CarPlay® connectivity on all trims of the 2019 Camry.
