5 reasons to buy the 2014 Toyota Camry
1. Engine options
The 2014 Toyota Camry offers two different gasoline-only engine choices for those looking for more MPG or more power. The base engine is the 2.5L four-cylinder, which produces 178 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. This engine has an EPA-estimated 34 mpg in highway conditions.
For drivers looking for a little more power, look out for the 3.5L V6 that's available in the SE and XLE trims. It packs a punch with 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, which translates to more driving fun. EPA estimates for the V6 are up to 30 mpg in highway driving.2. Hybrid power
2014 Camry models were also offered with a hybrid powertrain. Using Toyota's Synergy drive and employing the 2.5L gas engine and high-torque electric motor, the Camry hybrid has an EPA-estimated 42 mpg in the city.
Total power output is 200 hp, making it almost as powerful as the V6. Toyota also claims a 7.6-second run from zero to 60 mph (when new).3. Comfy seats
Seat comfort was clearly a top priority when Toyota designed the Camry. Featuring higher seat backs and longer seat cushions for maximum comfort, these seats can be found in one of four different materials: fabric, fabric with SofTex™ synthetic leather trim, leather, and Ultrasuede® with leather. Whichever you choose, you know you're in for a comfortable ride. Heated seats are standard on XLE V6 trims, too, and available on SE and XLE four-cylinder and hybrid trims.
4. Sporty SE trim
If you want to stand out a little from the crowd, look out for the sporty SE trim with some unique touches within the Camry lineup. Starting outside, the SE features a lower body design, a fine-mesh upper grille, integrated fog lights, and a standard trunk lid spoiler. Inside, the SE sports a three-spoke steering wheel and more supportive seat-side bolsters to hold you in place around corners. Mechanically, the SE offers paddle shifters on the back of the steering wheel and sport-tuned steering and suspension.
5. Upgraded multimedia
The 2014 Toyota Camry will help keep you connected with its available Entune™ multimedia system. With built-in weather, traffic, and fuel information, you can stay informed while on a road trip or commute. Entune also brings voice recognition to the Camry which helps by reading back text messages and allowing you to keep your attention on the road and not the infotainment screen or your phone.
