The 2014 Kia Sorento gets a number of updates that improve how it drives and keeps all of the appeal that makes it such a versatile family hauler. The optional V6 engine receives a bump in power to 290 horsepower. A revised suspension improves handling and ride quality. Plus, the Sorento is one of the few small SUVs to offer an optional third row, so it can provide more seating than most of its rivals. It also packs a punch when it comes to value and offers a lot of standard features for the money.

The refreshed 2014 Kia Sorento is a bright and bold crossover SUV, and when it comes to that bang-for-your-buck ratio, it's good to know all 2014 Sorento trims are well equipped. The base LX trim includes Bluetooth® connectivity, remote keyless entry, and a second-row armrest as standard—all nice touches that elevate your ownership experience. Spring for the mid-level EX trim and you'll get otherwise deluxe features like leather upholstery, parking sensors, and ambient interior lighting.
The 2014 Sorento can power both daily duties and spur-of-the-moment adventures, offering two engine options across its four-trim range. The base LX has a 191-hp 2.4L four-cylinder engine, capable of an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined in its standard FWD configuration.
The Kia Sorento has plenty of style, extending to its exterior colorway options. Sticking to monochrome colors means you can often go further between washes, and the 2014 Sorento has no less than five shades that take you from black to white via some satin-finish silver shades. Seemingly inspired by the muted hues of nature, the 2014 Sorento also comes in an earth-inspired bronze, sea green and blue, and two juicy shades of red.
Seating five as standard, the 2014 Sorento is also available with an optional third row, boosting capacity to seven. Busy parents can easily bring their kids and friends to activities, while outings with their own friends are a cinch when more seats are available. You can create multiple passenger and cargo configurations with split-fold seating across both rear rows.
A busy family schedule or working day can mean multiple errands to run and busy parking lots to navigate. Driver assistance features make all the difference and the 2014 Sorento EX, SX, and SX-L trims are equipped with a rearview camera and rear parking sensors as standard. A blind-spot monitoring system is also standard on SX models and an available option on the LX.
