2016 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid review

1. All the mpg 

Your fuel warning light is on, and of course, it’s pouring outside. With the 2016 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, you can skip the gas station and still make it to work, then fuel up later when you want. Under the aero-lined hood is a 2.0L four-cylinder working together with an electric motor for a combined 188 horsepower. When the lithium-ion battery is charged, you can drive an MKZ Hybrid up to 85 mph on just electricity. Drive like you aren’t late, and the MKZ Hybrid returns an EPA-estimated 40 mpg combined.

2. Quiet and comfortable 

The standard 10-way power-adjustable seats are wide and comfortable for all-day driving, and offer heating and lumbar support standard. Options here include classy double-stitching, ventilation, and a memory feature. Front headroom is 38-inches, with legroom at a whopping 44.3-inches. The suspension is tuned for quiet isolation, with multilayer seals preventing road noises from entering the cabin, and active noise cancelling resolving anything that does get in. The MKZ Hybrid offers a moment of peace in your day. 

3. Driver assistance helpers 

If you would rather drive another two blocks than parallel park, the MKZ Hybrid is for you. Just take your hands off the wheel and available active park assist will take the stress out of the task by doing it entirely. Standard continuously controlled dampening uses sensors to read the road every two milliseconds and adjusts the firmness at all four corners for maximum comfort and control. Other available options include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.  

4. Booming THX sound 

If you like your music loud, look for this option. The available THX® II Certified Audio System delivers concert quality and volume. With 14 speakers and two subwoofers, the THX sound processing delivers deep notes and huge bass from the 700-watt amplifier. If you ever listen to music during a commute you will love the MKZ Hybrid’s premier sound system.   

5. Loaded up 

An MKZ Hybrid with all the options checked is an impressive car. Top trim Reserve models offer real walnut or Prussian burl wood trim various double-stitched leather colors, and available multi-contour front seats to massage your stress away. Rear passengers will appreciate the available heated seating on cold days. A power rear-window sunshade blocks harsh UV rays, and at night, standard reading lights help them see. The single-panel power retractable top blows minds with open-top views, but won’t blow your hair around even at speed.
