All 2018 MX-5 Miata models have a 155-hp 2.0L four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. Put your foot down and you’ll go from zero to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds, while still achieving an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined.

3. Manual transmission equipped as standard 

For driving purists, there is nothing like feeling the horsepower in the palm of your hand via a sturdy manual transmission. The 2018 MX-5 Miata understands this, with all models including a six-speed manual shifter as standard. You’ll love the feeling of nailing those perfect upshifts and downshifts as you drive along. Should you prefer an alternative, an available six-speed automatic transmission can be found on all trims.  

4. Soft-top is easy to take down and put up
