Upscale minivan practicality
The 2015 Sedona represents the start of the 3rd generation (2015-2021) of Kia's versatile minivan. All trim levels are powered by a 3.3L V6 engine rated at 276 horsepower. There is a standard six-speed automatic, and all Sedonas get front-wheel drive. While the previous generation only had a couple of trim levels to choose from in 2014, the 2015 Sedona is offered in five trim levels, including L, LX, EX, SX, and SX-L. Depending on your trim level, you will get seating for seven or eight passengers. Specifically, the EX has standard eight-passenger seating, while it is optional on LX and SX. Meanwhile, seven-passenger seating is the only option on the L and SX-L trim levels.

5 reasons to buy the 2015 Kia Sedona
1. Strong V6 engine
No matter which trim level you go for, your 2015 Sedona will be powered by a 3.3L V6 engine with an impressive 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. With the hitch installed (optional), the Sedona can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. It's also good for a surprisingly quick zero to 60 mph trip in 7.9 seconds, according to the manufacturer, when new.
2. Super practical
A minivan has the right proportions to haul just about any mix of cargo and passengers you want. You'll find a healthy 33.9 cu-ft of cargo space behind the third-row seat, which jumps up to 78.4 cu-ft with the rear row folded down. Drop the second-row seats into their collapsed forward position, and you'll find a massive 142 cu-ft of space (forward folding middle row not available in SX-L trim).
3. Lots of standard features
Many great trim levels are available on the 2015 Sedona, but if you go with the base L, you won't be disappointed. Standard exterior features include 17-inch steel wheels, rear parking sensors, and dual manual sliding doors. Inside, you'll get standard stuff like Slide-n-Stow® forward-collapsing second-row seats, a split-folding third-row seat, stain-resistant fabric upholstery, dual gloveboxes, air-conditioning with rear controls, and more.
4. Great Mid-trim EX
Suppose you want specific luxuries like leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and ignition, an adjustable-height power liftgate, and power sliding doors. In that case, you must search our lots for the EX trim. It's a great spot in the lineup. There are also standard upgraded LED headlight accents, foglights, heated exterior mirrors, a refrigerated lower glovebox, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a remote garage door opener, and rear sunshades.
5. Option packages
While each trim level has something interesting for consideration, you can use our features filter to find just the right 2015 Sedona for your needs. Check out the LX Convenience package, which adds a cool refrigerated glovebox, heated front seats, power sliding doors, eight-passenger seating, and rear sunshades to the mix in the base model. Or the EX Premium package will get you a four-way driver lumbar, driver memory functions, the power front passenger seat, heated first- and second-row seats, and the blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alerts.
