5 reasons to buy the 2017 Kia Sedona

1. Room for people and cargo

Your 2017 Sedona is ready for adventure with a 33.9 cu-ft of cargo space behind the third-row seat. That number increases to 78.4 cu-ft with the rear row folded down. Fold the second-row seats into their collapsed forward position, and you'll find a sizable 142 cu-ft of space (not available in SX-L trim).

2. Great mid-level EX trim

The EX trim is a great place to start with some go-to options, such as leather upholstery, heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and ignition, an adjustable height power liftgate, and power sliding doors. You'll also get standard upgraded LED headlight accents, foglights, heated exterior mirrors, a refrigerated lower glovebox, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a remote garage door opener, and rear sunshades. The 2017 Sedona EX is a great option to look for across our lots.

3. Impressive base model too

Even the base model is anything but basic in the 2017 Sedona. The base L trim has standard exterior features like rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and dual manual sliding doors. On the inside, you'll get standard equipment such as Slide-n-Stow® forward-collapsing second-row seats, a split-folding third-row seat, stain-resistant fabric upholstery, dual gloveboxes, air-conditioning with rear controls, and more.

4. Impressive power

All versions of the 2017 Sedona get a great 3.3L V6 engine with an impressive 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. With the optional hitch installed, the Sedona can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.

It also has a zero to sixty time of around 7.9 seconds, according to the manufacturer, when new.

5. Long options list

Start with the LX Convenience package, which adds a refrigerated glovebox, heated front seats, power sliding doors, eight-passenger seating, and rear sunshades. Meanwhile, the EX Premium package will get you a four-way driver lumbar, driver memory functions, the power front passenger seat, heated first- and second-row seats, and the blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alerts. Standalone options for 2017 include a dual-panel sunroof, lounge-style seating for the second row, and premium leather upholstery, all available on the SX Limited trim. You can also find a rear-seat DVD entertainment system offered on all models.

Ratings & reliability

Customer ratings

4.8 out of 5

6 customer reviews
The 2017 Kia Sedona excels in its spacious interior, versatile cargo space, and smooth ride, making it ideal for families. Its stylish design and reliable safety earn high praise, although cabin noise and fuel economy in local driving draw criticism. Technology integration shows room for improvement, with mixed feedback on usability.
