The Kia Sedona is praised for its spacious interior, versatility, and handling. Common highlights include excellent cargo room, comfortable seats, and reliability. Criticisms focus on fuel economy, cabin noise, and outdated technology. It stands out as a practical and reliable minivan for families, though some features lag behind competitors.
This car has adequate space for a family of six.
In previous cars I’ve had to use a seat cushion, but the seats in this car are comfortable and the driver’s seat has a lot of adjustment available driving position.
This car has the WORST fuel economy! I have to fill up twice a week and that with just commuting.
You literally have to turn around to be able to check the left blind spots. Also, having the thick frame that separates the windshield and front passenger windows is extremely in the way especially with the side-view mirrors included in that blockage of view. I feel like I’m moving around in my car so much just to see where I’m going.
I specifically got this van because of its reviews for driving well in the snow after our move. This doesn’t just not handle WELL in the snow, it doesn’t handle at all.
Owned the Kia Sedona for almost 7 years and never had a problem with it. It has the nicest interior in any car I've driven in by far, gets up to 27 MPG on the Highway and can tow a 25 Foot Panga Boat very easily . Rolled a Lawn tractor into the back for transport. Took out the middle seats and had a limo style car with 5 feet of legroom in front of me. Minivans are the most useful vehicles on the road and If I weren't towing a 25 foot Boat ( Boat, Motor, Trailer weigh 2500 pounds, I'd still keep driving a Mini Van. Bought a 2023 Nissan Frontier because I worried I'd damage the frame towing. Most likely it would've been fine, just didn't wanna damage the Van that had a trade in worth $12,000. The Kia Sedona tows great, rides like a car, tons of cargo and you feel like you're driving a truck with how high you sit in this van. Looks more like a Giant SUV with the styling . Just be aware that this generation of Sedona has a direct injection engine and there's a possibility of carbon buildup over time. Engine Retore will clean that up so they claim. Rarely causes any problems. Such a delight driving the Sedona, incredible get up and go , excellent V6 acceleration.
minivans are great for big families. this van has provided us much more space for the entire family.
so far, the 2012 kia sedona lives up to the hype found on Edmund and KBB.
very loud in cabin
not a very smooth ride. however, wasn't expecting a luxurious ride considering it's a Kia.
she's not the prettiest but she gets us safely from point a to point b.
