5 reasons to buy the 2016 Nissan Frontier
1. Two cab sizes
The 2016 Nissan Frontier is available in two primary styles to meet your needs. The standard extended cab model (also known as the King Cab) features rear jump seats. If you need more interior room, check out the available Crew Cab model. Rear legroom goes from 25.4 inches in the King Cab to an impressive 33.6 inches in the Crew Cab to make more room for friends and family on your next adventure.
2. Robust truck bed
Whether you opt for the 6.1-foot bed (standard on extended cab models; optional on Crew Cab models) or the 5-foot bed (standard on Crew Cab models), you'll find a ton of smart optional features. The 2016 Nissan Frontier has an available sliding bed extender that folds when the tailgate is down to provide more space. The 2016 Frontier also has an optional spray-on bed liner and the super-practical Utili-track™ channel system with adjustable cargo tie-downs. If you're looking to haul some camping gear or take a trip to the local furniture store, the 2016 Frontier has you covered.
3. Off-road ruggedness
The S, SV, Desert Runner, and SL trims of the 2016 Nissan Frontier all have optional 4WD (only paired with the V6 engine), which allows you to choose between 2WD, 4H, and 4LO settings. The Desert Runner trim is ready for the trail with a robust Bilstein® off-road performance shock system. Take a look at the PRO-4X trim for the next level of off-road performance. In addition to standard 4WD, you'll get upgraded shocks, a locking rear differential, and skid plates to protect your Frontier while you're out on the trail.
4. Choice of engine options
If you choose the extended cab S or SV trim, you'll get a standard 2.5L four-cylinder engine with a respectable 152 hp. EPA-estimated fuel economy with the four-cylinder engine is 21 mpg combined with the manual transmission, and 19 mpg combined with the automatic transmission.
If you want a bit more power, check out the optional 4.0L V6 engine that produces 261 hp. Whatever you choose, you'll find a great engine under the hood of your 2016 Nissan Frontier.5. Robust interior
If you want a good road trip companion, or perhaps an off-road companion, the interior of the 2016 Nissan Frontier won't let you down. Even the base S trim has front bucket seats, a flat-folding front passenger seat, cloth upholstery, and rear privacy glass. With the automatic transmission, you'll also get standard air-conditioning, cruise control, and audio controls on the steering wheel. The SV trim adds keyless entry, power windows, locks, and mirrors, upgraded cloth upholstery, a sliding rear window, and more. And the top-spec SL trim unlocks leather upholstery, a sunroof, a roof rack with crossbars, heated mirrors, power-adjustable front seats, and more.
