Used Rivian buying guide
About Rivian
Rivian has gained a lot of attention as a new electric vehicle startup. It first shared its plans at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show and went on to start delivering vehicles a few years later. In the U.S., 2022 was the first model year for the R1S SUV and R1T pickup. Both are rugged off-roaders with good all-electric range.
The R1S has three rows of seating, standard all-wheel drive, and a striking exterior bound to turn heads. The R1T is just as impressive, with a huge estimated towing capacity and a 4.5-foot cargo bed. If you want rugged off-road ability ready for your next adventure — but without the tailpipe emissions — Rivian could be one to consider.

This depends on several factors including how many miles the vehicle has done and how well it has been maintained. Take a look at this article for more information on how mileage and maintenance can affect a vehicle. For electric vehicles, how the previous owner has charged it will also impact its lifespan.
There are currently two different Rivian models: the R1S and the R1T. The R1S is the brand's three-row SUV while the R1T is a pickup truck with a 4.5-foot bed. For 2024 models, both the SUV and pickup have 533 horsepower with all-wheel drive.
No. The Rivian Adventure Network (as it calls its chargers) was once free but it's now a paid-for service. One benefit of using this service is that you can simply plug in to charge with the cost directly billed to your account (once set up). All other EVs need to tap to pay.
Plugging in an electric car every night isn't necessary. As a rule, you should charge as often as you need it but an electric car doesn't need to be plugged in every night. For most people, charging to around 80% once a week is ideal, but it's fine to charge the car as often as is necessary for your mileage.
