5 reasons to buy the 2023 Tesla Model 3
1. Fun to drive
The Model 3 may be the entry point to the Tesla family of electric cars, but it doesn't miss out on the driving experience afforded its more expensive siblings. The performance it offers makes any trip a lively one, and the 2023 Tesla Model 3 is quick and engaging but also easy to drive. Comfort is good, too, which is great for those many occasions when you're not driving solo on a winding canyon road.
2. Superb performance
All 2023 Tesla Model 3 trims have superb performance. The entry-level Base trim has 248 hp from its single motor and its zero-to-60-mph time of 5.8 seconds matches some high-performance cars. The mid-trim, 355-hp Long Range AWD Model 3 will cover the same benchmark in 4.2 seconds. But if it's a proper sports car speed you're after, the Performance AWD model with 462 hp does zero to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
3. Good electric range
If you're an interstate driver or just don't want to charge regularly, the 2023 Model 3 Long Range AWD is the trim to go for. It'll cover an EPA-estimated 358 miles on a full charge.
The entry-level Base RWD trim Model 3 has an EPA-estimated range of 272 miles on a full charge and the top-trim Performance AWD Model 3 increases this to an EPA-estimated 315 miles. That's more than enough for most driving scenarios.4. Easy charging
When you do have to recharge, one advantage of driving a 2023 Model 3 is the access to Tesla's network of Supercharger recharging stations. Whether you're taking the kids to school, heading out on a family road trip, or going on vacation, there are over 40,000 Supercharger charge points ready and waiting, meaning you should easily find one en route. Living up to their billing, the Tesla Model 3's battery can be refilled with up to 175 miles of range in around 15 minutes. That's almost as quick as you can grab a coffee.
5. Hi-tech interior
The interior of the 2023 Tesla Model 3 is a minimalist's delight. There are no dashboard buttons anywhere. Everything from climate to navigation is controlled by a 15-inch color touchscreen which the kids will love as it resembles a giant tablet. Bluetooth®, HD Radio, four USB ports, and wireless charging are standard, but grown-ups may be disappointed with the lack of Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay® connectivity.
