Generation Overview

The 2017 Chevrolet Traverse represents the last year of the first-generation model, introduced back in 2009. The midsize SUV earned a mid-generation facelift in 2013, giving the Traverse a completely different look up front and around back. The redesigned rear liftgate also features Camaro-inspired tail lamps and a relocated license plate cutout on the liftgate itself. Changes have remained minimal since then, with the only notable changes for 2017 including the renaming of the LTZ trim to “Premier”.

Trims for the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse include the LS Base, LS, 1LT, 2LT and Premier, which supplants the previous year’s top-tier LTZ trim. The LS Base is no slouch when it comes to features, offering premium cloth seating, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a pair of charge-only USB ports and a stylish rear spoiler. The Premier trim features variable-effort power steering for easier parking-lot handling, plus stunning 20-inch aluminum wheels and perforated leather-appointed first and second-row seats with heating and ventilation for the driver and front passenger. The Chevrolet Traverse also comes equipped with OnStar functionality, giving you plenty of cool features including 4G LTE Wi-Fi and turn-by-turn navigation, when activated.3

3OnStar features require activation and most require a paid OnStar plan to use. Wi-Fi hotspot functionality may also require an additional data plan. Limitations and restrictions apply. See onstar.com for more information.
