Absolutely a joy to drive and handle - it's perfect for driving (and parking!) in the city, and extra fun for weekend trips to the mountains on those winding roads. It feels like a grown-up go kart, in a way that keeps you perpetually engaged on the road and with the journey.

It has the space for everything we need in Brooklyn, whether that's picking up folks from the airport, a full Costco run, or folding the seats down to pack enough gear in the car for a full film shoot. Definitely has enough space for us to go camping for a week or so too; I look forward to building out a proper car camping set up with a top tent in the next year or o.

This is the main reason I chose this car - 4WD for weather versatility, incredibly reliable, added features like the sunroof, the style is so charming... it's just such a lovely all-around car that I see myself driving for at least the next 5 years, if not more... really just as long as I can. Totally the perfect car for my lifestyle, for both city driving and longer road trips.

The fact that it only takes premium gas is a bit of a bummer and something I have to factor in, especially for longer trips out of the city. I expect other maintenance costs to drive things up a bit later.

We had to find a workaround with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is a non-starter; it's a shame that it's not natively built in - but we have that workaround rigged up now. The screen is a bit small which has caused a few navigation missteps - hasn't been a safety issue though.

Lots of bells and whistles on the onboard screen, weather reports, news headlines, maps, and full access to my phone info!

So fun to drive. Quick take off and smooth ride and handling. A pleasure to drive every day.

As a tall person, I do have to adjust to see traffic lights sometimes- the windshield is short.

Backseat is kind of a symbolic backseat- very hard to actually put people in/out of.

Classic Mini lines, the S has some fun aggressive looking features like the hood scoop.

Handles great, fairly quiet at highway speed, good pickup for entering the highway.

I know it's a bigger and faster engine, but our '07 averaged about 32 MPG highway/city. In this one we're only getting 22 MPG combined.

The 2022 was the last year Carplay didn't come standard, and the PO didn't order it as an option when they bought the car new. I had to go through a few hoops but was finally able to get Carplay to work in it.
