Generation Overview

The 2018 Nissan Rogue represents the compact SUV’s second generation, which dates back to the 2014 model year. The Rogue benefited from a mid-generation refresh in 2017, giving the compact SUV a revised front fascia with restyled lights front and rear, along with the addition of LED Daytime Running Lights. For 2018, changes are limited to automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert features becoming standard across all trims.

As far as trim levels go, the 2018 Nissan Rogue keeps things simple with only three to choose from. The base S trim offers plenty of key features, including cruise control, keyless entry and a highly versatile cargo management system. Stepping up to the SV trim gives you more features to enjoy, including Nissan Intelligent Key with push button ignition and a remote engine start system.2 The top-tier SL trim adds a long list of luxury goodies, including 18-inch alloy wheels, navigation and a nine-speaker Bose® premium audio system.

The SV and SL trims are also supplemented with several optional packages. Combining the SL trim with the Platinum Package and Platinum Reserve Interior Package, for instance, gives you tan leather-trimmed seats with quilted inserts, 19-inch alloy wheels and ProPILOT Assist, as well as an electronic parking brake.

Regardless of which trim you choose, your only powertrain option for the 2018 Nissan Rogue is the a 2.5L four-cylinder engine. Rated at 170 hp and mated to the Xtronic CVT, the 2.5L engine provides good overall performance.

2Remote start functionality may require the purchase of a subscription plan and/or a compatible device like a smart phone. See the owner’s manual or manufacturer website for more information
