Sharp, new look with more standard power
The 2016 Acura ILX received brand-new front and rear styling, giving it an even more refined yet sporty look than the previous model year. On top of this, Acura dropped the 2.0L base engine, leaving the peppier 2.4L engine as the base powertrain. Acura further refined this powertrain with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, so you can enjoy the drive instead of worrying about shifting gears. The ILX also gets a new collection of available driver-assist features to help make your daily commute a little more relaxed.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 Acura ILX
1. New, sharper look
In previous years, the Acura ILX wasn’t a bad-looking luxury sedan, but in 2016, it received an all-new look that will make you smile. This update brought in new front and rear designs, giving it a sleeker, sportier, and more refined look than before. Plus, this new look will help keep it fresh looking for years to come.
2. Potent base engine
In 2016, Acura dropped the base 2.0L engine from the ILX lineup and introduced the once-optional Honda Civic SI-sourced 201-hp 2.4L four-cylinder as the base powerplant. This engine delivers better acceleration than the old base engine while delivering acceptable fuel economy at 25 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined.
Plus, this new base engine pairs with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, so there’s no need to worry about shifting gears while enjoying this more powerful engine.3. Plethora of driver-assist features
The 2016 refresh of the Acura ILX also brought in the desired driver-assist features lacking in earlier models. This luxury sedan now has optional forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a multi-view rearview camera. While these features don't replace attentive driving, they can make your daily commute a little more relaxed.
4. Tons of luxury features
Are you craving true luxury? The 2016 Acura ILX doesn't disappoint with a huge collection of standard and available luxury features. Base models will surely please you with their standard power moonroof, a power driver’s seat, a multi-view rearview camera, and BluetoothⓇ connectivity. Jumping into the ILX Premium adds leather seating, a power passenger’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a dual-screen infotainment system, and more. The Technology Plus Package adds more, such as an ELS Studio audio system, AcuraLink connectivity, automatic emergency braking systems, and lane-keep assist. Moving into the A-Spec package will add in sporty 18-inch wheels, suede seating, fog lights, a spoiler, and other sporty upgrades.
5. City-friendly size
Zipping through city traffic on your daily commute or getting into that tight parking garage space can prove difficult in a large luxury sedan. The Acura ILX will ease your daily driving with its compact footprint that makes it easy to navigate traffic and fit into just about any parking space. And despite this small footprint, the ILX still offers 34 inches of rear legroom, which is plenty for most young kids and teens.
