5 reasons to buy the 2023 BMW M3
1. So much power
To say that the BMW M3 has a history of groundbreaking performance is an understatement. The high-performance BMW has been in production since 1986, but it just keeps getting better, as demonstrated by the seventh generation M3 (2021-present). The centerpiece of the 2023 BMW M3 sports sedan is a standard turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine with a whopping 473 hp, paired with a standard six-speed manual gearbox. If you opt for the M3 Competition model, that jumps to 503 hp.
2. Track-ready handling
Beyond the big horsepower, the 2023 BMW M3 features race-track-level suspension and handling components. As standard, you'll get multiple adjustable drive modes, adaptive suspension dampers, an M Sport rear differential for improved traction out of tight corners, and more. Look for the M Drive Professional package for a Track mode and other performance displays and settings. Or shop for the M3 Competition model, which features larger wheels for a more planted look. There's even an available AWD version of the M3 Competition xDrive for maximum traction.
3. Sedan practicality
The BMW M3 was available as a coupe, convertible, and sedan through most of its lifetime, but two-door models have been known as the M4 since 2015. So all M3 models now pair amazing performance with a practical five-seat sedan design, which translates to more space and legroom for friends and family. Plus, there's 13 cu-ft of space in the trunk for all your gear.
4. Loads of tech
The BMW M3 got an impressive upgrade for 2023, with a massive 12.3-inch digital driver display situated next to an even larger 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. That means you can easily control the myriad performance and comfort settings on a big screen. You'll also get Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, so your contacts and information will be easily at hand. Additional tech options in the 2023 BMW M3 include a head-up display, a built-in dashcam, wireless charging, and even a semi-autonomous parking system.
5. Luxury features
The 2023 BMW M3 is an exceptional luxury car. Even the base M3 has standard leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front sport seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon® audio system, and more. Shop for a model with the Executive Package, and you'll get additional features like a heated steering wheel, adaptive LED headlights, and a power trunk lid, just to name a few. The options list beyond that is even more extensive, including a sunroof, ventilated seats, and more.
