Luxury sedan with available AWD
The 2016 Jaguar XF enters a new generation for this model year, and it gets a roomier interior, upgraded technology, and modestly refreshed styling. If you're looking for an updated but not overly techy infotainment system, this new XF has it with an available 10.2-inch touchscreen and less lag. Plus, the longer wheelbase gives your rear-seat passengers more room to stretch. While you only have one engine choice for 2016, it's tuned two ways, and all-wheel drive is now available across the lineup. The interior and exterior design is more of an evolution than a complete redo. So, if you're looking for conservative styling with driving finesse, this midsize luxury sedan might have your name on it.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 Jaguar XF
1. Treads lightly
The 2016 Jaguar XF features an aluminum-intensive architecture, which contributes to a 132- to 265-pound weight savings for rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, respectively, compared to previous years. In turn, this translates into sipping less fuel. Both the 340-hp and 380-hp supercharged V6s deliver an EPA-estimated 23 mpg in combined driving, with 29 and 28 mpg estimates, respectively, on the highway.
2. Drive better on slippery surfaces
The 2016 Jaguar XF offers RWD and AWD options in every trim. But even if you opt for a RWD model, you'll get extra confidence on slick surfaces with the standard All-Surface Progress Control system, which works like a low-speed cruise control and can operate between 2 mph and 19 mph. This is specifically designed to help pull away on surfaces like snow, ice, or wet grass.
3. Celebrate the drive
The 2016 Jaguar XF has a certain start-up panache that begins when you push the pulsing stop/start button and continues with the rotary gear shifter rising out of the center console and the air vents rotating into position. Combined with premium materials and solid touch points, this is a luxury-grade interior designed to pamper. If you want a little extra, look for available features like the heated-and-cooled seats, head-up display, digital driver's cluster, 10.2-inch infotainment screen, four-zone climate control, and 10-color ambient lighting.
4. Driver-assist technology
The 2016 Jaguar XF adds a lot of available driver-assist technology. Be on the lookout for things like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and drowsy driver alerts. You'll also see available features like traffic sign recognition, a speed limiter that will automatically change the vehicle's cruise control speed based on the detected limit, and rear-cross traffic alerts. If you want something decadent, keep an eye out for the park assist functionality that will help steer the vehicle into both perpendicular and parallel parking spots.
5. Sporty ride and handling
The 2016 Jaguar XF delivers a near 50:50 weight distribution, which makes this sporty sedan well-balanced and fun to drive. The precise steering combined with an ability to corner is sure to bring a smile to your face under aggressive driving maneuvers. Plus, the available configurable dynamics will allow you to set the throttle response and transmission shifts to your current mood — from leisurely to downright sporty.
