With a standard 2.4L four-cylinder engine that pumps out 181 hp, the 2021 Kia Sportage has plenty of power for daily errands, mountain drives, and highway commutes. You'll find this engine on all trims save for the top SX Turbo, which features a 240 hp turbocharged 2L engine. If you're looking to go further between fill-ups, go for the standard engine, which gets an EPA-estimated 26 mpg combined on FWD models.
One of the biggest perks of the Kia Sportage is the comfortable, quiet ride. The suspension absorbs small bumps, and the cabin minimizes road noise, especially around town. The seats are supportive and comfortable, making it great for long journeys—whether that's a fun road trip or your daily commute. This is a great option if you favor comfort in your daily driver.
The standard eight-inch touchscreen on the 2021 Sportage is easy to use and intuitive. If you like to use all your smartphone's features while you're on the road, you'll be pleased to see that Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capabilities come as standard, too. If you climb the trim levels, you'll find additional technology such as a hands-free tailgate (EX trim), heated and ventilated front seats (SX Turbo), and a premium sound system (SX Turbo).
This is a small SUV with a big personality. If you need lots of space but still need the maneuverability of a smaller vehicle, this is a great choice. You'll still get 30.7 cu-ft of cargo space with all the seats in place, while still being able to navigate cramped parking lots. The maximum cargo capacity expands to 60.1 cu-ft with all the seats down—that's almost double! This makes it great for luggage, sports gear, or even a mountain bike.
If you live somewhere with changeable weather, look out for a 2021 Sportage with available all-wheel drive. This will give you extra confidence when it starts to rain or during winter drives. If the conditions worsen or you just fancy some light off-roading, the driver-controlled center differential provides added traction at low speeds.
